Many of our customers want to know whether an orangery is going to be the right decision for them. How do you go about choosing between an orangery and a conservatory? What are the fundamental differences? Here are some of the key need-to-know facts about orangeries:
- Orangeries are very similar to conservatories in their construction. However, they have a more ‘solid’ appearance, using more brickwork and less glass.
- An orangery is a good way to let in light. The large expanses of glass in the glazed roofing system create a very light space and can help bring additional light into other parts of the building.
- You will have more privacy with an orangery. They incorporate brick pillars, making the structure feel more like an extension of the building.
